Color, Repetition, Shape . . . so much to think about

I loved the lines of the pine tree branches against the blue sky
but as I got closer and noticed the new buds and the shapes they made,
I was even more intrigued.

I love the repeating image
in the water but what
I love even more is Hayden
and Tyson together
fishing. They are the buds
and as I watch Hayden,
I can see so much of Tyson
in him. Hayden is always
wanting to be "just like Dad".

More than just a
repeating image . . .

I love flowers and blue skies,
what a beautiful day!
The color is always so brilliant . . .
and an insect is always a
great finishing touch.

Have a good one!

Somthing fun!

Something fun is just hanging out sometimes . . . We were on our way fishing and had to stop at the hardware store for the big boys to get some fishing supplies. We just hung out in the truck playing silly games, having silly contests, and telling silly jokes . . . TOO much fun hanging out with these two! It's great being a Grandma!

Mmmmmm

Monday we braved the heat and went to Jones' orchard to pick blueberries, blackberries, and peaches. I was excited because I think pictures of produce at places like this can turn out so great because they are so colorful and fun! This was a little bit of my attempt. I felt like I was snapping away but I came home and thought is that all I took? Here's a few.

I will definitely be taking more photos next time. And in case you are wondering, all the fruit has been delicous!

Week 3

Happy 4th of July! Time for another project! Repetition. Lines, shapes, colors...your choice. Find something visually interesting even if it is ordinary or you look at it everyday. Use your creative eye and find some repeating whatevers! May I also empower you to go on an artist adventure sometime this week and let your inner creative child have some time to play. Even if it is just a walk, by yourself...well, almost by yourself...TAKE YOUR CAMERA!

Don't be afraid to post an image everyday. Or several by the end of the week

Relaxation = Fun!

So, a project titled "something fun" should probably look a lot more... fun than this. But at this stage in my life, this is pretty darn fun. This was actually my default idea. My original idea was rained out. And, you can't really tell but this is me, sitting on an inner-tube, with a yummy cup of coffee, all my children inside the house either sleeping or playing with the grandparents, and I am seriously enjoying a moment to myself. A cloudy day. A quiet, fun-filled moment all to myself.

Below is a picture of my husband. He was on his way to have some fun of his own, and try his luck fishing the waters of Detroit Lakes, MN.

Makes me wish I could fly

This little project didn't turn out exactly how I had planned and I wish the picture looked a little better/sharper like it did in my mind..but I definitely learned a few things doing this. When I saw the subject was "fun" this was the first thing I thought of, yes, throwing Javen in the air. I think we have just as much fun as he does! Happy 4th!

I am HERE!!

Too weird to have a picture by myself . . . I did try but felt more comfortable with Scott by my side. So here it is . . . take it or leave it. I am Abuela Sue, Christina's mother-in-law (the dreaded in-law), Scott's wife, and so forth and so on. I have tried several different pics and finally just decided I needed to post one before I gave up on it. I am excited for 52 weeks! It will be fun! I love wide open spaces (the reason for the picture up in the top of the mountains). It clears my mind and helps me remember what really matters in life. Life is too busy and sometimes we don't slow down enough to enjoy what is happening around us and the people in it. I love days of just visiting with people I love or getting to know new people. I love days out in nature enjoying the sounds of the birds, animals, wind, water and appreciating the vivid colors. I love having fun and being with my family! I miss my family that lives far away . . . That is enough about who I am! I am now on the venture of finding something FUN!!!
