I'll make this short and sweet. Shoot something in focus in the foreground with an interesting background that is out of focus. You can do this in aperture mode. The lower the number, the blurrier the background. Really, anything under a 5.6 will blur the back. Then switch. Blur the image in the foreground and focus on the background.
